Welcome to Henry's Car Comps. These terms and conditions govern your participation in any prize competition organised by HJT Motors Limited (company number 16666129), trading as Henry's Car Comps ("the Promoter", "we", "us"). By purchasing a ticket and participating, you agree to comply with them. Please read them carefully before entering any of our competitions.
1.1. You must be 18 years or older to participate in any competition hosted by Henry's Car Comps.
1.2. Participation is restricted to residents of the United Kingdom.
1.3. By entering the competition, you confirm that you meet the age and residency requirements. Proof of identity and age may be required before a prize is awarded.
1.4. Employees of the Promoter, their immediate families, or anyone professionally connected with the organisation of the competition are not eligible to participate.
2.1. There are two ways to enter every competition, offered as a choice at the point of entry: a paid online entry through henryscarcomps.co.uk, or a free postal entry. Neither route is a precondition of the other. No payment, account or purchase of any kind is required to enter by post. The free postal route is set out in full in the "Free entry route" section below.
2.2. Each competition page specifies the entry price, the total number of entries available, the minimum number of entries below which the competition will be cancelled and paid entries refunded, the maximum number of entries permitted per person, and the closing date.
2.3. All ticket purchases are final, and no refunds will be given except in the case of cancellation of the competition, or where the minimum ticket threshold stated on the competition page is not reached.
2.4. A maximum number of entries per person applies to each competition and is stated on the competition page. That same maximum applies identically to paid online entries and to free postal entries.
2.5. Entries must not be purchased on behalf of individuals under the age of 18.
2.6. Some competitions are run with no reserve. Where the competition page states that there is no reserve, the competition will be drawn on its closing date however many entries have been sold, the prize will be awarded regardless, and the cancellation and refund provisions at clauses 2.3 and 3.3 relating to a minimum number of entries do not apply to it.
3.1. The date and method of the draw will be specified on the competition page.
3.2. Before entries open, a random seed is generated and a SHA-256 fingerprint of that seed is published on the competition page. After the competition closes, the winning entry is derived from that seed, and the seed itself is then published so that anyone can confirm it matches the fingerprint published beforehand and produces the announced result. This means the result cannot be altered after entries are known without invalidating the published fingerprint. Each completed draw can be replayed and checked at our draw page.
3.2a. The process that determines the winning entry operates on entry numbers alone. It cannot distinguish between an entry made through the paid route and one made through the free postal route.
3.3. If a competition does not meet the required number of entries or for any other reason must be cancelled, participants will receive a full refund.
3.4. The result of the draw is final, and no correspondence regarding the outcome will be entered into outside of the complaints process below.
4.1. The prize(s) for each competition will be described on the competition page. If the prize is a vehicle, it is the winner's responsibility to carry out pre-purchase HPI checks.
4.2. Prizes are non-transferable. No cash alternative is offered unless a cash alternative is expressly stated on the relevant competition page.
4.3. Winners will be contacted using the details provided at the time of ticket purchase.
4.4. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim their prize within 72 hours of the initial contact, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to an alternative winner or dispose of it as it sees fit, in line with applicable regulations.
4.5. The Promoter will bear the cost of delivering the prize to winners within the United Kingdom, unless otherwise stated. International shipping costs, if applicable, must be borne by the winner.
4.6. Once a prize is delivered, the Promoter is not responsible for any insurance, maintenance, or defects.
5.1. All entries must be paid for at the time of purchase through the payment methods specified on the Henry's Car Comps platform.
5.2. Entry prices and any associated fees will be clearly stated on the competition page.
5.3. Any entries that are incomplete, unpaid, or otherwise invalid will not be included in the competition.
6.1. Winners will be notified via the contact details provided upon purchase within 24 hours of the draw.
6.2. Winners will be announced on the Henry's Car Comps platform and/or social media, but participants may opt out of such announcements by notifying us at the time of entry.
6.3. By entering the competition, you agree to allow the Promoter to use your name and location for promotional purposes, and agree to participate in media-related activities when the prize is delivered.
7.1. Henry's Car Comps encourages everyone to enter responsibly and within their means. If you are concerned about your own or someone else's gambling, help is available from organisations such as GamCare or BeGambleAware. See also our responsible play page.
7.2. We operate self-exclusion on request, and a self-excluded entrant is prevented from entering at checkout. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate a participant's involvement in any competition where there are concerns about harm, or where these terms have been breached.
8.1. Any taxes, duties, or other fees arising from the receipt of a prize are the responsibility of the winner.
8.2. The Promoter will comply with all legal obligations, but winners should seek their own advice regarding the tax implications of their winnings.
9.1. The Promoter, its employees, or agents will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the competition or the acceptance of any prize.
9.2. We are not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, or misdirected due to technical or other reasons beyond our control.
10.1. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend any competition at its sole discretion if there are reasonable grounds to do so, such as insufficient ticket sales, fraud, or technical issues.
10.2. If a competition is cancelled, all participants will be entitled to a full refund of their entry fees.
11.1. The Promoter will process personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
11.2. Personal data collected will be used for the purposes of administering the competition, contacting winners, and complying with legal obligations.
11.3. By entering a competition, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
12.1. These terms and conditions, and any disputes arising from participation in a Henry's Car Comps competition, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
12.2. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you're unhappy with any aspect of a competition — an entry, the draw, or anything else — email [email protected] with the competition name and your details, and a description of the issue. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 working days and resolve them within 28 days.
This competition is promoted by HJT Motors Limited (company number 16666129), trading as Henry’s Car Comps (“the Promoter”). Entry is open to legal residents of the UK aged 18 or over. Employees of the Promoter, their immediate family members, and affiliated companies are not eligible. The Promoter reserves the right to verify eligibility.
There are two ways to enter any Competition: a paid Online Entry, or a free Postal Entry. Both go into the same pool and each Entry has exactly the same chance of winning.
When entering a Competition by post, the Entry is free. Postal Entries must be sent on an open postcard. All Entrants must:
Postal Entries must be sent to the Promoter at: Henry’s Car Comps, Blackjack Cottage, Dances Bank, Swineshead, Boston, PE20 3HJ.
First or second-class postage must be paid by the Entrant for each such Entry (a “Postal Entry”). Bulk entries (more than one Entry within the same envelope) will not be accepted. Postal Entries will not be accepted directly through the letterbox.
The same number of Postal Entries is allowed as paid Online Entries for each Competition for each Entrant. Each Postal Entry has the same chance per Entry of winning a Prize as an Online Entry.
Entries missing any of the required details above may not be counted. No purchase, account, or online submission of any kind is required to enter by post.
All Entries, whether an Online Entry or a Postal Entry, must arrive by the end of the Promotion Period for that Competition as stated on the Platform. A random number or numbers will be allocated to each Entry by the Promoter. All Postal Entries are treated in exactly the same way as paid Online Entries once numbers have been allocated. If a Competition has sold out, no further Entries will be accepted and the Platform will state that that Competition has closed.
By entering, you agree to: abide by these terms; allow the Promoter to use your name and likeness for promotional purposes relating to this competition. Your information is used only to administer the competition and will not be sold or shared. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not comply with these terms, and to modify, suspend, or cancel a competition if necessary.
